AL Taylor Memorial Scholarship

  • Graduating high school seniors

  • From Jones County attending any university, college or technical school

  • 3.0 GPA

  • Strong in community service.

Alan Arnold Memorial Scholarship

  • Graduating seniors from the Youth Challenge Academy

  • Attending any university, college, junior college or technical school in Mississippi

  • Criteria is based on academics and financial need

Amanda Collins LeFlore Memorial Scholarship

  • Students graduating from High school in Forrest, Lamar, and Lawrence counties

  • Attending Alcon State University

  • Priority given to students who are members of Sweet Pilgrim Baptist Church of Hattiesburg, MS

​

Baxter I. White, Jr. Scholarship Fund  

  • Columbia High School senior

  • Based on academic excellence, community involvement

  • 3.0 GPA

  • Plans to pursue a degree in Math, Science or Engineering

​

Benjamin J. Deen & Liquori Tate Memorial Scholarship Fund  

  • Awarded to full-time sworn Pine Belt law enforcement officers and their family members in cases where she/he is currently working as full-time police officer or non-sworn employee of a police or sheriff's department within the Pine Belt area

  • Eligible family members include the officer's or non-sworn employee's spouse, children, step-children, siblings, or other legal dependents of the officer

  • The sworn law enforcement officer must have been serving in their official capacity in law enforcement at the time of the application in the Pine Belt of Mississippi (Forrest, Lamar, Jones, Marion, Perry, Jefferson Davis, Smith, Jasper, Wayne, Lawrence, Pike, Walthall or Covington County)

  • 2.5 GPA from a previous high school or college

Blake Broom Memorial Scholarship  

  • Columbia High School student

  • Must be selected 3rd student in the graduating class

  • Chosen by the counselor at Columbia High School

​

Blue Line Legacy Fund  

  • Traditional and/or non-traditional students currently working in law enforcement or are the spouse of a law enforcement officer or are dependents of a law enforcement officer

  • Traditional students must be of 18-24 in age and a Mississippi resident

  • Traditional students must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA

  • Non-traditional Students must be 25 or above in age and a Mississippi resident

  • Non-traditional students must be employed by a law enforcement agency, or a dependent of a law enforcement office or a spouse of a law enforcement officer.

Bryce Trotter Memorial Scholarship  

  • Graduating seniors from Forrest County Agricultural High School

  • Must be active members of Future Farmers of America

  • Based on financial need.

​

Darrell Burnham Memorial Scholarship  

  • Graduating Senior from Forrest, Jones or Lamar County

  • Majoring in Math or Engineering with first preference given to students going to Mississippi State University or The University of Southern Mississippi

​

Dr. Clemon Terrell Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund  

  • City of Hattiesburg Employee, or a child or grandchild of a current, retired or deceased City of Hattiesburg employee

​

Dr. Edgar D. Johnson Memorial Scholarship 

  • USM or WCU student accepted to Medical School

  • Based on academic excellence, community involvement, and church affiliation

  • Students must have a minimum 3.2 GPA.​

Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Scholarship

  • ​​High School Graduating Senior

  • Attending a college, university, junior college, or vocational school

  • Based on academics, church leadership, community leadership and financial aid

​

Edward J. "Ed" Langton Scholarship

  • ​Benefitting a Pinebelt graduate

  • Based on academic excellence, community involvement, and financial need

​

Edwin H. Cole, M.D. and William E. Moak Scholarship

  • Students from Perry and Greene counties

  • Pursuing higher education in the medical field

  • Minimum of 2.5 GPA

  • Accepted into a higher education medical program such as medical/nursing school or technician training

Elaine Moser Scholarship 

  • Graduating senior from Richton High School

  • Minimum average of 85 for 4 years

  • ACT score of 18 or higher

  • Plans to attend a Mississippi junior college, community college or university â€‹

​

Eloise T. Hopson Scholarship 

  • African American graduate of Hattiesburg High School

  • Minimum of 2.5 GPA or a minimum of 18 on the ACT or minimum of 870 on the SAT

  • Must be committed to attending a school in Mississippi but may choose any major

​

Hub Award Endowment Fund

  • ​Honors one student from William Carey University and one student from University of Southern Mississippi​

  • Students are honored during the Hub Award event

​

Johnnie C. Shappley Memorial Scholarship

​

Judge Deborah Gambrell Scholarship

​

L. D. Ready Scholarship  

  • Richton High School Senior Athlete

  • Has been accepted to a college or university

  • Chosen from a school committee

Marion County School District Educational Foundation Scholarship

  •  Students graduating from East Marion High School or West Marion High School

  • Attending Pearl River Community College.

  • Opportunity- based and competitive with a limited amount of scholarships given each year to cover tuition and room & board each year.

  • The MSCD Educational Foundation Scholarship is a renewal scholarship for the 2-3 years the student is enrolled at PRCC continually.   Renewal Application will open April 15th.  A link will be sent to you!

Mary B. Peeples Educational Scholarship

  • For those pursuing a formal education in the nursing field

  • If no one from the nursing field applies, then those in the healthcare industry may apply

  • Priority given to those planning to attend or attending nursing schools in the State of Mississippi

  • Good moral character

  • Reasonably good academic background

  • Prospects of finishing nursing school with a degree

  • Have need for financial assistance

  • Priority given to those residing in Stone County first and then to the contiguous South Mississippi area counties, including but not limited to Stone, Perry, Lamar, Forrest, Greene, George, Pearl River and Hinds 

  • Recipients may reapply on a yearly basis as long as they fit the criteria

Mike Rozier Construction Scholarship 

  • For Mike Rozier Construction employees and family members and others needing assistance who want to pursue a higher education

  • Preferred applicants will be the child or grandchild to an employee of the company

  • Students must have a minimum 2.75 GPA â€‹

Needham and Myrtle Jones Scholarship Fund 

  • High school students from Stone County School District or the Pine Belt area

  • Based on being a well-rounded individual who has financial need

  • Students must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA

  • Priority status given to those attending Alcorn State University or Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College

Omi Ruth Boston Twyner Scholarship Fund

  • High school senior from Laurel High School who has a minimum of 2.5 GPA

  • Based on academic excellence, civic engagement, and financial need

  • Preference given to the first generation, college-bound students

Pearl River Valley EPA Round Up for Education Scholarship Fund  

  • More than 170 students from throughout Pearl River Valley Electric Power Association’s 12-county service area will receive scholarships to attend state community colleges this year, thanks to the generous spirit and support of the Association’s member-consumers

Ralph H. Stallcup Memorial Scholarship Fund  

  • Non-traditional students

  • Pursuing a degree at Pearl River Community College (PRCC) and Jones County Junior College (JCJC)

  • Must be age 25 or above and show financial need

Ratliff Memorial Scholarship

  • A graduating high school senior of True Light Missionary Baptist Church (TLMBC)

  • Lives a life of Christian Service

  • Applicant must be a member of the TLMBC Sunday School and graduate with the current class

  • Other criteria includes leadership, participation in church activities, participation in community organization, and a quest of a successful life​

Richard Pettus Conville Memorial Scholarship  

  • Hattiesburg High School Senior

  • Attending any college, university or junior college

  • Preference will be given to students majoring in Computer Science or Music

  • Financial need will be a featured consideration

​

​Richton Woman's Club Scholarship  

  • Female graduating senior from Richton High School

  • Sound record of scholastic achievement, leadership abilities, and involved in school and community activities that contribute to improved quality of life for the school and community

  • Student must have attended Richton High School for at least 2 years

  • Minimum average of 90 for 4 years

  • ACT minimum of 20

  • Plans on attending a Mississippi junior college, community college, or university

Taylor Polk Memorial Scholarship Fund 

  • Ariton High School graduating senior (Ariton, Alabama)

  • Attending any college, university, or technical school

​

Terry Lajaunie Memorial Scholarship for Library and Information Sciences 

  • Mississippi student

  • Attending undergraduate or graduate school at the University of Southern Mississippi

  • Seeking a degree in library science

  • Based on financial need

The George and Polly Neel Memorial Fund   

  • Graduate who has attained the rank of Eagle Scout

  • Preference given to those graduating from Petal High School

  • Member of a troop within the Pine Burr Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America

  • Students may attend any university, or college

  • Preference is given to those attending The University of Southern Mississippi​​
