What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is a global movement to encourage charitable giving. The goal is to, over time, implement charitable giving habits into everyday life. Everyone has something to give, whether it be time, money, resources, or even a friendly smile.

 

How is the Pinebelt Foundation participating?

This year, the Pinebelt Foundation is spotlighting its Agency Endowment Funds. A number of these funds are working with the Pinebelt Foundation to run individual campaigns that promote donation-based giving.

The Arc Southeast Mississippi

Arc of the Pine Belt Region

Habitat for Humanity of the Pine Belt

Hattiesburg Civic Light Opera

Hattiesburg Concert Association

Pinebelt Gives Endowment Fund

 

What is an Agency Endowment Fund?

An endowed agency fund is an invested contribution that is managed by the Pinebelt Foundation on behalf of a nonprofit, church, or school. Through long-term support, the fund grows and lasts in perpetuity.

 

How can you participate?

If you see a cause that you are particularly drawn to, help them out by donating an item or money to their endowment fund! All donations are being collected at the Pinebelt Foundation, and they will be delivered to each individual organization on Giving Tuesday (December 1st).
